about

Our Family

Hello there!

We are the Murphy Family, and we live on a second-generation family ranch in rural Augusta, Kansas. In addition to our 3 children, we enjoy 31 chickens, 5 barn cats, 2 goats, 2 dogs, and 2 miniature horses. In the past, our ranch has been home to horses, cattle, and many other animal friends. Our apiary currently consists of approximately 1 million Happy Bees!

In 2014, we were approached by a seasoned beekeeper hobbyist looking for a place to keep his hive. We quickly said yes, and were thrilled when he gifted us with some "liquid gold" from his harvest. We couldn't believe how amazing the raw honey tasted! Our interest in beekeeping quickly grew from there. We obtained our first hive in 2015, and the rest is history!

our

Bees & Honey

Our Happy Bees enjoy foraging on over 400 acres of native Kansas grassland, and their water source is a spring-fed lake. Our pastures are not treated with any pesticides, herbicides, or chemicals of any kind. When we harvest honey, we make sure to leave an ample supply for the bees to enjoy.

Our honey is 100% raw and all-natural. We do not ultra-filter, pasteurize, or add preservatives or anything else to this already perfect food source. In other words, all the good stuff is still in there!

Because our honey is raw, it might crystallize faster than store-bought honey. Don't throw it out! Simply place your glass honey jar in a pot of water and slowly warm the water until the honey re-liquefies. (Don't let the honey boil.) For plastic jars, use a bowl of hot water from the tap. Setting it outside in the sun might also do the trick. Your honey will be good as new!
